Police Arrest Couple in Paulínia Drug Trafficking Operation

On Wednesday, January 7, the Civil Police executed an operation in the Jardim Amélia neighborhood of Paulínia, São Paulo, resulting in the arrest of a couple suspected of drug trafficking. The operation concluded a surveillance period that began in September 2025.

Authorities seized a significant quantity of narcotics, including 2,300 cocaine pins and 31 portions of marijuana. Additionally, a pressed marijuana brick weighing 812 grams was recovered, along with R$ 277 in cash and a vehicle.

The investigation identified the male suspect as the primary distributor in the region, commuting from Americana to Paulínia twice daily. The female suspect was apprehended at the residence used as a stash house. Both were charged with drug trafficking and association.

The Civil Police arrested a couple in the Jardim Amélia neighborhood of Paulínia (SP) on Wednesday, January 7. The operation targeted the couple on suspicion of supplying the local drug trade.

During the action, authorities confiscated a large volume of narcotics and paraphernalia. The total seizure included:

• 2,300 pins of cocaine
• 31 portions of marijuana
• One pressed marijuana brick
• R$ 277 in cash
• One vehicle

The operation was the culmination of an investigation initiated after a major drug seizure in September 2025. Following that event, the Paulínia Police Station began monitoring the area to identify the new figure responsible for drug distribution in the region.

Investigations revealed that the male suspect resided in the Assentamento Milton Santos in Americana, SP. He reportedly traveled to Paulínia up to twice a day to carry out drug deliveries.

The drugs were stored in a residence functioning as a casa-bomba (stash house). Reports from the Guarda Civil Municipal (GCM) corroborated the investigation, confirming suspicious vehicle movements in the area.

Police surveillance allowed authorities to track the suspect's movements between Americana and Paulínia, establishing the pattern of the illicit operation before moving in for the arrest.

The arrest sequence began when the male suspect was approached after a police pursuit. During the chase, he attempted to discard a portion of the narcotics. Police recovered 140 cocaine pins and 14 marijuana portions from him.

Agents then proceeded to the suspect's residence, where the female suspect was located. A search of the property yielded additional significant evidence:

• One 812-gram brick of pressed marijuana
• A backpack containing 2,100 cocaine pins
• 17 portions of marijuana
• Two precision scales
• Scissors, a knife, and plastic packaging materials

The couple was taken to the police precinct where their arrest was formalized.

Following the operation, the couple was processed at the police station. They were subjected to prisão em flagrante (arrest in the act).

Both individuals face charges for drug trafficking and association for the purpose of drug trafficking. The legal proceedings are now underway based on the evidence collected during the operation.
