Red Dead Redemption 2 players have uncovered a complex trail of clues that appears to lead to the game's map boundary. The discovery involves a series of spiderwebs that point to telegraph poles and guitars located at Fort Wallace. These items act as signposts guiding players to the roof of the fort's tower.

On the roof, engravings of birds direct explorers to Calumet Ravine. From this specific vantage point, a faint question mark is visible on a distant mountain. This location is significant as it sits within the Wapiti reserve, fueling theories that the mystery centers on the tribe member Eagle Flies. With the trail extending beyond the playable area, many believe the search is nearing its final stage.

Attention was drawn to a major new discovery within the game earlier this week, described as the biggest uncovering of hidden content in years. The mystery begins with an intricately-placed breadcrumb trail of spiderwebs. Fans plotted these webs, which led to a further set of marked telegraph poles.

These poles subsequently pointed to a collection of guitars within the game's Fort Wallace location. For a time, the trail appeared to go cold at this specific spot. The design of the question mark across the far hillside is such that it is only visible from this particular location. This clue is situated way beyond the boundary of the map. Additionally, earlier steps in the mystery may be an obtuse reference to the character: feathers could be shot out of spiderwebs, with five colored black and three colored red. Eagle Flies appears in five story missions, before three more which chart his capture and eventual death.

Interestingly, former Rockstar developer Adam Butterworth shared previous coverage of the mystery. He provided the first official acknowledgement that the game included this trail of clues. Butterworth stated, "Absolutely wild people have found this," and added, "I remember hearing about this and thinking it would never be discovered."
