CES 2025 Winners: Where Are They Now?

With CES 2026 slated to officially start next week, the focus is understandably on new products. However, it is a good idea to revisit the best of show winners from CES 2025 to see where they are at. CES is often synonymous with vaporware, but many of the devices awarded last year are coming this year.

Several products have already been released, including the ASUS Zenbook A14 and the Lenovo Legion Go S SteamOS model. Others, such as the BioLite Backup and Jackery Solar Roof, are expected to ship soon. The Moonbird Moonbuddy is currently available for purchase, while the OhSnap MCON is open for preorders. Additionally, the Yukai Engineering Mirumi robot is currently funding on Kickstarter, and the WeWalk Smart Cane 2 is scheduled for a demo at the upcoming trade show.

The ASUS Zenbook A14 made a strong impression at CES 2025 with its lightweight chassis and OLED screen. However, further testing revealed shortcomings, specifically regarding performance and an expensive price tag. The device was ultimately not viewed as the Windows competitor to the MacBook Air that was initially hoped for.

In the handheld gaming sector, Lenovo released the Legion Go S. While the Windows 11 variant arrived shortly after CES, the SteamOS model was released later. The SteamOS version received praise for its fast performance, bright display, and the ease of use provided by the operating system.

On the audio front, the Technics EAH-AZ100 earbuds debuted with magnetic fluid drivers. These earbuds were noted for delivering exceptional clarity, detail, and bass, earning high marks in subsequent reviews.

Home energy solutions announced at CES 2025 are progressing toward availability. BioLite was taking pre-orders for the BioLite Backup at the event. Although it did not arrive in 2025, reservations are currently open for $100, with final pricing expected to start at $2,000. BioLite has stated that units will begin shipping this year.

Similarly, Jackery showcased its XBC curved solar shingles, which resemble regular roof shingles but offer over 25 percent cell conversion efficiency. While the release has taken longer than anticipated, Jackery expects the shingles to go on sale in the US "very soon," with pricing likely ranging between $1,100 and $1,300 per square meter.

In the television market, the LG OLED evo M5 impressed attendees with a 165Hz refresh rate for gaming and a wireless transmission system for video and audio. Priced at $4,300, it remains a flagship model, though LG typically trickles down these features to more affordable sets in subsequent years.

Several unique gadgets from CES 2025 are now available or moving toward release. The Moonbird Moonbuddy, a screenless meditation and sleep aid for children, is currently available for purchase at a discounted price of $110.42. The OhSnap MCON, a device designed to turn smartphones into gaming controllers, is available for preorder for approximately $210, with shipments slated to start this year.

In the robot vacuum category, the Roborock Saros Z70 stood out for its built-in extendable arm. While it was not recommended over more affordable options, it is currently on sale for $2,000. Meanwhile, the Yukai Engineering Mirumi robot, a small charm that stares at users, is currently accepting pre-orders through Kickstarter. The campaign has successfully raised over $267,000.

Finally, the WeWalk Smart Cane 2 won a best in show award for its thoughtful use of AI, offering turn-by-turn navigation and obstacle detection. The company plans to demo the Smart Cane 2 again at CES 2026.

As the industry looks toward CES 2026, several companies are preparing new announcements. Jackery has teased updates on devices like the Solar Mars Robot. Additionally, Urtopia plans to showcase the Titanium Zero e-bike, featuring a Quark DM1.2 motor, at the upcoming event. The WeWalk Smart Cane 2 will also be present for demonstrations.

While some products from CES 2025 faced delays, the majority are either available now or confirmed for release in the near future. This suggests that the selection process for these awards continues to identify products with high potential for market success.
