Salvador Festival Virada 2026: Lineup and Logistics

The Festival Virada Salvador 2026 is scheduled to run from December 27 to 31 at the Arena O Canto da Cidade in the Boca do Rio area. The event marks the transition from 2025 to 2026 and is expected to attract hundreds of locals and tourists. The lineup features a robust selection of artists, with more than R$ 13 million invested in fees.

To manage the influx of attendees, the local government has deployed a multi-departmental operation. This includes specialized public transport routes, traffic management, and integrated security measures. Health services will operate 24 hours a day throughout the festival, supported by sanitation and cleaning teams. The event also highlights a commitment to sustainability and public order.

The Festival Virada Salvador 2026 will feature a diverse range of musical acts across five days. The main stage at the Arena O Canto da Cidade will host headliners including Léo Santana, Jorge e Mateus, Claudia Leitte, and Ivete Sangalo. Other notable performers include Belo, Mari Fernandez, Wesley Safadão, Alok, and Olodum.

In addition to the main stage, a secondary stage named Brisa will be set up in another area of the venue. This stage will feature artists such as Márcia Castro, Afrocidade, and Sarajane, along with various DJs. The event organizers have invested heavily to ensure a high-quality experience, consolidating Salvador's reputation as a hub for large-scale public events.

The daily schedule is as follows:

• December 27: Léo Santana, Wesley Safadão, Parangolé, Xand Avião, and Léo Foguete.
• December 28: Claudia Leitte, Edson Gomes, Pablo, Simone Mendes, and Tony Salles.
• December 29: Matheus e Kauan, Nattan, Natanzinho Lima, Durval, and Psirico.
• December 30: Bell Marques, Alok, Belo, Felipe Amorim, and Olodum.
• December 31: Ivete Sangalo, Jorge e Mateus, Mari Fernandez, Manu Bahtidão, Xanddy Harmonia, and Timbalada.

The Secretaria Municipal de Mobilidade (Semob) has prepared a specialized transport operation to facilitate access to the venue. Three special bus lines will be created, departing from the Acesso Norte, Pirajá, and Pituaçu terminals with direct routes to the festival. Additionally, six regular lines will operate with extended hours from 18:00 to 01:00 to connect various regions of the city to the event area.

Traffic management will be handled by the Superintendência de Trânsito de Salvador (Transalvador). They will implement a reinforced operation with:

• 12 fixed inspection points.
• Mobile patrols.
• Approximately 40 agents per night.

Two provisional bus stops will be installed on Avenida Octávio Mangabeira, while other stops in the section will be temporarily deactivated. The area will also feature nine parking zones with 996 blue zone spaces, along with designated areas for ride-share vehicles and passengers with disabilities.

An integrated security scheme involving the Guarda Civil Municipal and agents from various secretariats (Semop, Transalvador, Semob, Saltur, Sedur, SMS, SPMJ, and Sempre) has been established. Security measures include the installation of 40 monitoring cameras and the use of drones. Preventive actions will include identifying bracelets for children and assistance for women and children of vendors.

The Secretaria Municipal da Saúde (SMS) will operate a 24-hour health module from December 25 to January 1. The facility includes:

• 20 observation beds.
• One fully equipped resuscitation bed.
• A multidisciplinary team (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, etc.).
• A fully equipped ambulance for emergencies.

Furthermore, the Centro de Controle de Zoonoses will conduct inspections to prevent diseases like leptospirosis and incidents involving insects. The Empresa de Limpeza Urbana (Limpurb) will manage waste and sanitation, including the use of mechanized equipment and mobile showers, alongside sustainability actions like selective waste collection.

The Secretaria Municipal de Ordem Pública (Semop) will oversee the organization of commercial activities and licensed vendors. Meanwhile, the Secretaria Municipal de Desenvolvimento Urbano (Sedur) will monitor sound levels, temporary structures, and advertising protection. They will also work with Civil Defense to inspect stage structures and prevent overcrowding in surrounding buildings.

A highlight of the celebration will be the fireworks display. A total of 22 points across Salvador will host fireworks. Locations include:
