Rafaela Massini Isacksson experienced an unusual surge of energy on December 24, despite being heavily pregnant with swollen feet.

She spent the day helping her grandmother, organizing the house, shopping at the market, and participating in all preparations for the traditional Christmas Eve dinner.

Her husband Matheus returned from work around 8:00 PM, hugged and kissed her, then jokingly remarked: "Imagina se o Mathias nasce hoje?" (Imagine if Mathias is born today?).

Rafaela immediately responded: "Cala a boca, não fala isso. Não pode nascer no Natal" (Shut up, don't say that. He can't be born on Christmas).

Throughout her pregnancy, Rafaela had maintained a special relationship with Christmas and had even spoken to her unborn baby, asking him to wait until after the holiday passed.

Rafaela even placed a chair in the shower because she could no longer stand for extended periods.

At the first hospital visit, medical staff determined dilation was still minimal and instructed the couple to wait at home.

By approximately 4:00 AM on December 25, the pain intensified significantly, signaling that the baby was imminent.

Upon returning to the hospital, examinations revealed that Mathias weighed approximately 4.1 kilograms.

Doctors determined that a normal delivery would present risks, so the medical team opted for a cesarean section and transferred Rafaela to the Hospital de Base.

At 6:45 PM on December 25, 2023, Mathias Massini Isacksson was born.

The birth fundamentally changed the meaning of Christmas for the Isacksson family.

This statistic demonstrates that many families receive the ultimate holiday gift—a new baby—despite the festive date.
