The Incident#

The accident took place on a rural property in Coaraci, a city in the interior of Bahia. While engaging in recreational horseback riding, the judicial official experienced a fall from the animal.

Emergency services were immediately contacted. A specialized team from the Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu) arrived at the location to provide immediate assistance. Medical Evaluation#

Upon arrival at the medical facility, Mário Albiani Júnior underwent a series of diagnostic tests, specifically image exams. These tests were crucial in determining the extent of the injuries sustained during the fall.

The results of these examinations were positive. Medical professionals confirmed that no fractures were detected in the judge's body. This outcome was a significant relief given the nature of the equestrian accident.

The specific medical findings included:

  • No bone fractures identified via imaging
  • Minor soft tissue injury to the lower back
  • Stable vital signs throughout examination
  • No indication of severe internal trauma

Official Statements#

Details regarding the magistrate's condition were clarified by Gustavo Teles Veras Numes, who serves as the judge and auxiliary to the presidency of the TJ-BA. He provided an update on the health status of his colleague.

The medical recommendation following the discharge was clear: the judge requires a period of rest to ensure a full recovery from the impact and soft tissue injury.

Discharge and Recovery#

The judicial official was granted alta hospital (hospital discharge) on the same day of the accident. This rapid release from medical care underscores the non-critical nature of the injuries sustained.

The focus now shifts to the recovery phase. The recommendation for descanso (rest) in the coming days is standard protocol for this type of injury. The judge is expected to resume his duties following this recovery period.

Key points regarding his current status:

  • Released from Hospital Calixto Midlej Filho

  • Adhering to medical rest recommendations
  • Expected to make a full recovery
