Armed Robbery Targets Store in Pedreiras

Two armed men attacked a commercial establishment on Avenida Abílio Monteiro in Pedreiras, approximately 280 km from São Luís, on Monday, January 12. Witnesses reported that one suspect had his face uncovered while the other wore a helmet. Both suspects managed to escape the scene, and no arrests have been made. This event follows another robbery that occurred on the same avenue the previous week, where two men posed as customers before stealing money and objects. Although three teenagers were apprehended recently with a motorcycle and a firearm, police state they have no connection to this latest robbery. The Civil Police are investigating both crimes and attempting to identify the perpetrators.

The investigation is not limited to just this single event. The Civil Police are looking into dois crimes (two crimes) that have occurred recently in the area. Police are searching for the assaltantes (robbers) involved in both incidents.

In that previous incident, two men entered a business pretending to be customers. Once inside, they stole money and objects. This method differs slightly from the most recent armed attack.

Following the previous robbery, police activity in the area resulted in the apprehension of three adolescents. These teenagers were apreendidos (apprehended) while in possession of a motocicleta (motorcycle) and a arma de fogo (firearm). However, according to police statements, these individuals have nenhuma relação (no relation) with the more recent case involving the armed robbery on Monday. The police continue to investigate both events separately.
