Roblox Age Verification Faces Critical Flaws

Roblox's new age verification mandate, launched to combat child safety concerns, is already facing severe scrutiny. Less than a week after implementation, the system is reportedly failing to accurately distinguish between adults and minors.

According to recent reports, the platform's automated checks are classifying children as adults and adults as children. This failure comes at a critical time, as the company faces legal pressure from multiple states regarding child safety. To access the platform's chat feature, users must now complete a strict verification process. This involves submitting a selfie for facial age estimation or, for those 13 and older, uploading a government ID for validation.
